Chapter One   Company Profile and Policy Statement

Section One   Company Profile

Jinzhou Yicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. is located in the central area of Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang, with convenient and fast transportation. The company is a chemical enterprise integrating scientific research, development, production, and sales.

It possesses world-class production equipment, adopts German production technology, and has a complete and strict testing process. The product quality approaches international standards. It is a professional manufacturer of methyl cellulose ( MC ), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) .

Jinzhou Yicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. is located near Shijiazhuang, the capital of the central Hebei Plain, famous for its pear production. It has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. The company covers an area of 8 ten thousand square meters, with fixed assets of 18000 ten thousand yuan, and employs 98 staff members, among whom there are 3 senior and intermediate technical personnel. It is a well-known chemical enterprise that emphasizes technological investment and has strong production capacity. Due to continuous business expansion, the company is constructing a new plant to better serve customers.

We deeply understand that the Earth's climate and environment are gradually deteriorating due to the impact of greenhouse gases. As a member of the global community, Jinzhou Yicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. complies with the < United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change < and the Kyoto Protocol > international standards, promptly fulfills corporate responsibilities, commits to greenhouse gas inventory work, effectively controls and manages greenhouse gas emissions, and based on inventory results, formulates reduction plans to promote gradual greenhouse gas emission reductions.

Chapter Two   Organizational Boundary and Report Responsibility

Section One   Company Organization Chart

1. Organizational Boundary

Greenhouse gas emission activities related to the production processes and activities of Jinzhou Yicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. located in the Jinzhou Economic Development Zone, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province.

3. Organizational Responsibilities

According to the greenhouse gas verification implementation team organization chart (Figure 1), an implementation team is established. The management representative is the general manager, with the following responsibilities:

1 - Management Representative Wang Qingchang: Oversees and provides manpower and resource support for the execution of greenhouse gas verification and reduction work.

2 - Deputy Factory Director: Assists the factory director in supervising and providing manpower and resource support for greenhouse gas verification and reduction work, plans the company's internal greenhouse gas verification work, acts as the main coordination contact, and coordinates greenhouse gas verification and reduction work among relevant departments.

3 - Implementation Team: Responsible for collecting greenhouse gas data, calculating emissions, preparing documents and reports, and verification. Team members are department heads from relevant departments.

Section Two   Report Preparation Period and Validity Explanation

The company conducts an annual greenhouse gas emission verification and completes the verification report. The report summarizes the company's greenhouse gas emissions over one year and serves as a reference for the next year's verification data. The report covers the period from 2021 year 1 month 1 day —2021 year 12 month 31 day.

After completion, the report undergoes internal review procedures, corrections of omissions, and internal announcement.

Section Three   Emission Verification Statement

The company's greenhouse gas inventory report will be externally verified as necessary in the future to ensure its accuracy.

Section Four   Report Disclosure Restrictions

The greenhouse gas verification report will be disclosed externally as necessary, and the verification results will be published on the company's internal website.

 


Chapter Three   Operational Boundary

Section One   Definition

1. Greenhouse gases and types: refers to any gas that absorbs and emits infrared radiation and exists in the atmosphere. The Kyoto Protocol specifies the controlled 6 types of greenhouse gases as: carbon dioxide ( CO ), methane ( CH ), nitrous oxide ( N O ), hydrofluorocarbons ( HFCs ), perfluorocarbons ( PFCs ), sulfur hexafluoride ( SF6 ).

2. The operational boundary of Jinzhou Yicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. includes direct, indirect, and other indirect greenhouse gas emissions. The company's main greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide ( CO 2 ).

Section Two   direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 emissions)

1. Direct Emissions

Definition: Emissions directly from sources owned or controlled by the company.

The direct emission sources include the following items:

1 - Company's stationary combustion sources: boilers using natural gas

2 - Company's process emissions: production equipment using electricity

2. Company Emissions

Direct emissions (Scope 1 ) verification inventory results, 2021 year 1 month 1 day -20 21 year 12 month 31 The total direct emissions of the Japanese organization are 5409.36 kg CO 2 , accounting for approximately 21.68%

Section Three   Energy indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 2 )

1. Definition

Energy indirect emissions (Scope 2 ): Energy indirect emissions are calculated based on indirect greenhouse gas emissions related to imported / purchased electricity, heat, or steam.

2. Company's energy indirect emissions

The company's energy indirect emissions (Scope 2 ) emissions are from electricity, with an emission amount of 19541.88 kg CO 2 , accounting for approximately 78.32%

 


Chapter 4   Reported Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Section One Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Jinzhou Yicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. 2021 Annual greenhouse gas emissions CO 2 include direct greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and indirect greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 2 , with total greenhouse gas emissions of 24951.24kg

Section Two Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan Description

Project Plan: Without changing the main structure of the gas boiler, by replacing the Creden vertical boiler low nitrogen burner, the original heart-shaped flame combustion method is optimized to a flat flame combustion method, effectively reducing the combustion temperature through technical means, ultimately achieving nitrogen oxide emissions of 20mg/m³ or less

Project Summary: According to the boiler flue gas emission standards required by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional environmental protection, the nitrogen oxide content in the boiler flue gas must not exceed 30mg/m³ , sulfur dioxide content must not exceed 5mg/m³ , and particulate matter content must not exceed 10mg/m³ 2021 In the year, the emission concentrations of sulfur dioxide and particulate matter in the boiler flue gas were within standards, but the nitrogen oxide emission concentration reached a maximum of 120mg/m³ , which did not meet environmental protection requirements. Therefore, the workshop immediately carried out low nitrogen modification on the gas boiler.

Project Goal: Nitrogen oxide emissions ≤30mg/m³

Implementation Plan: Replace the volute casing, adjust the air duct, base frame, burner base, fan, and other structural parts and burner, and install a filtration system, cooling air supply system, modify the frequency converter, gas pipeline, water pump piping, electrical system, etc. After completion, further debugging and verification are required to ensure perfect matching of all parameters and points.

 

Chapter 5   Greenhouse Gas Quantification

Section One Calculation Method

Our company has not installed greenhouse gas detection equipment and cannot obtain greenhouse gas emissions through direct measurement. Therefore, the company uses a common calculation method, which multiplies activity data by emission factors (as in formula 1 ).

AE— Organization activity GHG emissions (expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent by mass)

AD— Organization activity data

EF— Activity emission factor

GWP—GHG Global Warming Potential

The company uses the formula ( 1 ) to calculate GHG emissions, and selects and collects activity data according to the calculation method requirements. GHG The data, after financial audit and combined with material balance methods, accurately obtained the company's activity data, which was classified and summarized.

Determination of emission factors: Reasonable emission factors were selected and determined based on specific values provided by national and industry organizations.

Section Two Greenhouse gas removal from organizational activities

The company has not conducted GHG direct removal work.

 


Chapter Six Section   Report Management

Section One Issuance and management of reports

The issuance and safekeeping of the greenhouse gas verification report are handled according to the company's relevant documents.

After review and approval according to the company's document issuance regulations, the greenhouse gas verification report and GHG declaration will be publicly available on the company's internal website.
